English kindergarten and nursery Labuť u Botanické

I consider it essential to prepare our children for the future that awaits them and the ever-increasing demands that will be placed on them. I created the Průhonická Labuť as an English nursery, an English-Czech nursery and a nursery with the highest level in many aspects.

He graduated from the Secondary Pedagogical School in Beroun, specializing in music and art education. He was on an internship in England, where he deepened his knowledge of the English language and also observed how preschool children are taught abroad. He focuses on speech therapy prevention for children, which he also confirmed with a seminar on speech therapy.

He started working with children aged 2-6 in a specialized children's hospital, where he gained experience in both first aid and health prevention for children. Later, he gained extensive experience in the position of "headteacher" in a private kindergarten and during stays abroad with children of this age. Of the art techniques, Honzu is most interested in ceramics, in which children improve their fine motor skills in an amazing and fun way. He can play flute and guitar.

He likes to combine drama and music education. Honza is a guarantor of pre-school training thanks to his many years of experience with it and he has already raised several school children and he knows from feedback that the training he conducted with them is successful and the children are perfectly prepared for the transition to school.

He is constantly charged with positive energy, which he passes on to everyone around him every day. He enriches all activities with children with his creativity and zest for life. He decided to work with children in kindergarten already in high school, because he was most interested in the fact that children of this age live in the moment.

Mirka graduated from a high school of nursing, majoring in general nursing. After graduating from school, she worked for 3 years in a specialized children's hospital, where she gained a lot of experience with children of preschool age.

In the hospital, they mainly deal with the rehabilitation and prevention of respiratory diseases. After moving to Prague, she started working in a private kindergarten and nursery school, where she gained a lot of experience with children of younger school age, created educational plans and, as a head teacher, took care of the entire operation of a private nursery school.

She studied special pedagogy for preschool children at the Palacký University in Olomouc. She is a teacher of children's yoga, which she also likes to apply in practice with children. She also completes a speech therapy course at the seminary for the support of speech development in children, where she trains as a speech therapy assistant.

She likes sports, reading, education and loves animals, especially her dog Kryštof.

George joined us as a music and English language teacher, he teaches only in English. He graduated from high school in the USA, Virginia, Woodson High School, where he already knew that his future job would be raising and educating preschool children.

He studied at NOVA college, Virginia USA, how to properly and efficiently and modernly teach English language to preschool children. He took the international T.E.F.L. teacher certificate course in Prague. Before he started working at the Trojská Labuť kindergarten, he worked with children with special needs.

He is currently studying, as one of the first, at the internationally recognized Kindermusik Academy. George´s life is filled with music and children. The combination of these two elements makes him a professional in his field.

Jana comes from a family of teachers, where the love for children and education has been passed down from generation to generation. For more than 10 years, she led the Průhonická Labuť branch, where she used her rich experience, patience and natural empathy in her daily work with children and parents. During her practice, she completed a speech therapy prevention course, thanks to which she was able to recognize children's speech needs in a timely manner and support their healthy development. Children love her very much - for her kind and active approach, sense of humor and ability to create a safe and stimulating environment.

Tereza has always loved children. Since the age of 15, she has been coaching an athletic group, teaching children to swim, and as part of the Coaches to Schools project, she has led physical education classes at the 1st grade of elementary school, and is involved in athletic training for floorball players. She herself was an active swimmer and did athletics. Although she graduated from a business academy and continued her studies at a university specializing in economics, she always knew that children, their upbringing, and guidance in sports were closer to her heart. She is now focusing her education on pedagogy. In her free time, she likes to travel, try new cafes, and spend time with friends.

Chris has been actively teaching children of all ages since 2013. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education with a concentration in Choral Pedagogy and a Master of Arts degree in Choral Conducting. He has conducted many choirs in the United States, from children’s choirs to professional ensembles. Chris is originally from the Rocky Mountain region of the United States and lives in Prague with his wife and four children.

In his personal time, Leigh enjoys playing music, stand up comedy, magic shows and most of all spending time with his daughter.

Donika’s true passion is working with children. She has two years of previous experience working with preschoolers, which has strengthened her skills in creating a caring and engaging environment. Being with children makes her happy and fulfilled. Her professional English skills, supported by a TEFL certificate, allow her to communicate clearly and confidently, while her caring nature helps her build strong and trusting relationships with children. She is creative, patient and dedicated to making learning a positive and inspiring experience for every child.

Originally from Israel, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Jerusalem. Growing up in a large family as the eldest sibling, she developed a natural affinity for childcare at an early age. She has worked as a nanny and as a leader at international sports camps in Italy. She has a long-standing passion for working with children and finds her greatest joy in watching their progress and discovering the world through their eyes.

After maternity leave, Danča decided to embark on a path that makes sense to her – she started studying preschool pedagogy so that she could fully devote her time and energy to working with children. She is very interested in speech development, speech therapy games and preparing children for school. That is why she decided to take a speech therapy prevention course, thanks to which she can better support children in this area and work with them in a playful and natural way. She has an individual and kind approach to each child, which is based on her inner peace, empathy and genuine interest.
